The Association represents companies involved in providing equipment and services for the safe handling of loads, whether they be products, vehicles, equipment or personnel. This includes the manufacturers and suppliers of Scissor Lift Tables, Dock Levellers, associated Dock Loading equipment, Ramps and Lifts for the Disabled, Tail Lifts and other vehicle-mounted lifting equipment.

The Association provides an authoritative representation of members views to UK Government and European bodies regarding legislation, technical standards, proposed EC Directives and other matters.

One of the main aims is to make industry and the end user aware of the Standards and Regulations which need to be complied with to ensure that all products supplied are both fundamentally safe and meet current UK and European legislation.
